Mills

Tsb Sugar owns two sugar mills in the Nkomazi region, one in Malalane and one near Komatipoort. These two mills have a combined crushing capacity of 4.5 million tons of cane. Malalane also has a backend refinery.

The sugar that is produced at these two facilities is used to supply the local market with brown, refined and specialty sugar via Quality Sugars, the marketing division. The remaining sugar is exported via Maputo harbour. The milling seasons normally run over a 38 week season starting in April and finishing in December.
