Sugar Production Division
Tsb has two sugar mills, the only two sugar mills outside Kwa-Zulu Natal province. Altogether, South Africa has 15 mills. Both mills use a diffusion process to extract the juice from the cane, followed by a hot lliming juice clarification process to produce a Very High Pol (VHP) raw sugar. This low-colour, high purity sugar is suitable for packaging for direct consumption or it can be further processed into refined sugar.
